In a past life, the Buffalo Niagara region was the center of our nation, a bustling hub for importation and goods. Through the next century, it remained just that and advanced as a large metropolis. Somewhere in between then and now, population declined and manufacturing experienced some growing pains. However, today, Buffalo Niagara is again ascending to the nation’s forefront. Thanks to its successful past, it has the infrastructure and capabilities of a large metropolis, still with the population and recognition of a recovering region. Space is available and a wide technological breadth is in place. That combination, a small fish in a large pond, if you will, allows the Buffalo Niagara region great potential and growth opportunity. Others have seen it, choosing to be a part of the revitalization. Don’t worry, though. There’s room on the bandwagon for you too.

Proof is in the pudding

Ever heard of Yahoo! Data Center? We thought so. In 2009, the company saw Buffalo Niagara for all its potential and invested $300 million while hiring 125 employees.

Ever heard of GEICO? We thought so. The company invested $40 million and added 2,500 jobs to the region in 2003. Again, in 2009, they reinvested $2.5 million and added 325 more…because over 2,000 just wasn’t enough. And because that wasn't enough, just last year they announced another $15 million expansion with 600 more jobs.

Workforce

Buffalo Niagara has 21 universities and colleges offering 39 applicable majors to advanced business services companies. We produce nearly 5,000 graduates yearly. So when GEICO comes into our region and says, “We need nearly 3,000 employees” we respond, “When can they start?”

Life happens, man

The numbers circling your clock go past five. The day doesn’t end at 5:00 p.m. Everyone wants to go out to dinner and experience beautiful views and watch plays and hike and play sports. Buffalo Niagara is affordable for all those things and more. Our cost of living is 4.9% lower than the national average. As our nifty Relocation Guide displays oh-so beautifully, life in Buffalo Niagara is quite enjoyable.

So if you’re looking to relocate or expand your advanced business services or technology operation, look no further. We saved a seat on the bandwagon just for you.
