Launch NY’s Emerging Cleantech Opportunity (ECO) Incubator, one of New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) six designated incubators across the state, connects up-and-coming cleantech companies with Launch NY’s local Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR), a national network of industry experts, and NYSERDA’s statewide EIR program to help achieve key milestones and accelerate time to market for new innovations.
Who is eligible?
- Early-Stage to Series A climate tech companies working to meet New York State’s energy goals
- Climate tech startups who are located in the Launch NY service area or looking to move into the area comprising the western half of NYS

Emerging Cleantech Opportunity Incubator Success Story:
Feedback Solutions joined Emerging Cleantech Opportunity Incubator in January 2020 to accelerate their growth and to establish U.S. operations in Buffalo, NY. ECO Incubator worked with its partners at Invest Buffalo Niagara to help the company navigate setting up operations here, and ECO Incubator focused on supporting the company through 1-on-1 business mentoring and preparing to raise capital. Since joining, Feedback Solutions has received investment from the Launch NY #InvestLocal Financing Programs, secured multiple commercial and pilot projects in New York State, and set up a base of operations in Buffalo.
Launch NY is a 501(c)(3) venture development organization that operates in the 27 westernmost counties of Upstate New York. Launch NY has provided pro bono mentoring to over 1300 startups since 2012 and funded over 74 companies through its #InvestLocal Financing Programs since 2016.
