In Buffalo Niagara, we’re known for our food. National Geographic even named us the third best food city in the entire world. While the chicken wings and beef on weck are quite delicious, we are also well known for our strengths in the larger food processing industry. Here is a dive into some data points that we think make the business case for expansion quite compelling.

0%

That’s right. New York State offers 0% corporate income tax for qualified food processing companies. This offers a relocating or expanding food processing company the opportunity to save significantly and reinvest in the company. It also incentivizes them to invest in Buffalo Niagara.

40%

Buffalo Niagara is within a 10-hour drive of 40% of the bi-national population. A 10-hour drive gets you as far west as Chicago, south as Louisville, and includes Washington D.C. That proximity lowers the possibility for spoilage. It also offers access to an immense market, including the populated east coast.

#1

Buffalo Niagara boasts the number one largest dairy producing county in New York State. Wyoming County is a perfect agricultural cluster for dairy processors. New York State is also the third largest dairy producing state in the country.
